Exhibitions "GORITHIA. Through the folds of time. 1001-2025"

On the occasion of "GO!2025," the Smart Space (Digital Exhibition Space) becomes the place to discover and deepen the history of Gorizia, through unique experiential exhibitions that retrace the history of the city and its territory from 1001 to the present day.

The exhibitions "GORITHIA. Through the Folds of Time. 1001-1500" lead you on a unique journey through the millennial history of Gorizia, from 1001 to the present day. Touchscreens, immersive projections, virtual reality experiences, and a display of artworks and historical objects retrace the historical, social, and cultural evolution of the city across the ages: Middle Ages (1001-1500), Modern Era (1500-1790), Long Nineteenth Century (1790-1914), and the Twentieth Century to the present (1914-2025).

Four distinct exhibitions, closely interconnected with each other, alternate throughout the week to tell the history of Gorizia in the four eras: • Monday: Middle Ages (1001-1500) • Tuesday: Modern Era (1500-1790) • Wednesday: Long Nineteenth Century (1790-1914) • Thursday: Twentieth Century, up to the contemporary era (1914-2025) • Friday: "Rotating Exhibitions" day • Saturday morning: Middle Ages (1001-1500) • Saturday afternoon: Modern Era (1500-1790) • Sunday morning: Long Nineteenth Century (1790-1914) • Sunday afternoon: Twentieth Century, up to the contemporary era (1914-2025)
