53rd World Folklore Festival “Gorizia Castle”:
General program from Wednesday 27 to Sunday 31 August 2025:
Stage performance by 10 (ten) Italian and foreign folk groups on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings – Piazza della Vittoria;
Gospel Choir Concert on Sunday evening – Piazza della Vittoria;
Entertainment in the city, in the afternoons;
Performances at residential facilities for the elderly and disabled;
Cross-border greeting and gift exchange ceremony.
49th International Congress of Popular Traditions (Saturday morning, August 30, 2025).
Theme: “Weddings: Traditions Lost, Preserved, and Recovered”
The 58th International Folklore Parade will take place in the late afternoon of Saturday, August 30th.
In addition to the groups participating in the Festival, folk groups and bands from the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and the neighboring Slovenian area, as well as others from Austria and Croatia, will be invited to participate.
At the end of the Parade, participation awards and prizes awarded during participation in the Festival will be presented.
