Workshop presso Castel San Mauro – Nuova opportunità di collaborazione!

The meeting is open to professionals, operators, and anyone interested in collaborating in the fields of tourism, culture, events, and cross-border activities. Registration is open until 4 December 2025 at the following

This is the first of two workshops organised within the international CROCUS EU Horizon project, which Castel San Mauro joined in 2025 with the aim of developing innovative models in cultural and creative tourism. Nestled in the peaceful landscape between Mount Sabotin and the Soča River, Castel San Mauro offers an ideal environment for creating synergies and generating new ideas.

Participation is free of charge, and the workshop will be held in Italian. A convivial gathering with a small tasting will follow.

About the CROCUS EU Horizon project:
By promoting cultural and creative tourism, the project addresses the challenges faced by rural and peripheral areas. It focuses on innovative business models and collaboration with local communities, exploring new ways to connect cultural heritage with economic development. The project involves leading researchers and experts with extensive experience in cross-border tourism development, stakeholder engagement and policy analysis.

The Slovenian partner, the University of Maribor, focuses on the border area between Italy and Slovenia, analysing two main case studies: Lože Castle near Vipava (Slovenia) and Castel San Mauro near Gorizia (Italy).
