Choral concert of folk and mountain songs

In conjunction with the International Music Festival, the Coro Monte Sabotino offers the city of Gorizia a summer concert, which this year will be held at the Sala Incontro in Via Veniero, 1, in Gorizia, on Friday 20 June at 9 pm, with free admission.
 
The Choir, composed of about twenty members (male voices only), will be directed by Maestro Marco Mersecchi, while the evening will be presented by Valentina Cervi.
 
The pieces will be introduced by themed readings. As usual, at the end of the concert a drink will be offered to those present, to conclude the evening in company.
 
The Coro Monte Sabotino, which in 2011, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, was awarded the title of Popular and Amateur Music Group of National Interest, participates every year in numerous events promoted by public and private bodies, in Italy and abroad, and in turn organizes choral performances and reviews with prestigious guests.
 
The Choir, established within the Gorizia section of the Italian Alpine Club, has been working in the field of choral music for more than 60 years, with particular attention to mountain and folk music, as well as Alpine songs in memory of the two world wars.
 
Furthermore, in consideration of the extraordinary occasion of GO2025, he has integrated his repertoire with songs in Slovenian language.
