The Pokret Trio (Madlen Stokić Vasiljević: violin, Milos Nikolić: clarinet, Maja Mihic: piano), founded in 2010, has as its center of interest the works of contemporary Serbian composers. After having performed all of the existing pieces written by local composers for this ensemble, the trio has “pushed and stimulated” other authors to compose new works. All of the compositions by Serbian authors performed in this concert have indeed been commissioned by them. These performances of recent compositions bring energy and excitement to the contemporary Serbian music scene, while at the same time enriching the repertoire available for this atypical ensemble.Accessibility
