Tragùdia - The song of Oedipus

Opening of ERT FVG 2025/2026 Season. Alessandro Serra reinterprets the Oedipus myth through Griko language in an award-winning show from MESS Festival Sarajevo.

A borderless event inaugurating the collaboration between the Regional Theatre Institution of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Slovenian National Theatre of Nova Gorica. Alessandro Serra, one of the most visionary directors on the European scene, brings to stage an extraordinary reinterpretation of the Oedipus myth through Griko, a language still alive in Magna Graecia. A performance that won four "Golden Laurel Wreath Awards" at the International MESS Festival in Sarajevo, including the Grand Prix for best show.

A sonic bridge between ancient and contemporary, between Italy and Slovenia, celebrating theatre's power to cross languages, cultures and borders.

The perfect encounter between great tragic tradition and contemporary dramaturgical innovation.
