THE WAND
FRANCESCO CHEBAT TRIO Francesco CHEBAT – piano Riccardo FIORAVANTI – double bass Maxx FURIAN – drums
The Wand (“the magic wand”) is an album – and a concert – that evokes the magic Chick Corea was able to infuse into his music, capable of transforming and creating new soundscapes, opening up new paths between tradition and modernity. In this project, the trio revisits a selection of tracks from Corea’s electric repertoire, restoring their original freshness and energy through a personal and contemporary acoustic style.
Alongside these interpretations, the trio presents original compositions by Francesco Chebat, inspired by Corea’s harmonic, rhythmic and improvisational universe. Francesco Chebat, Riccardo Fioravanti and Maxx Furian deliver an energetic, elegant concert rich in interplay, capable of captivating both Corea’s devoted fans and those encountering his music for the first time.
