The Living Stage: Body, Mask, and Puppet

Intensive theatre workshop, led by Claudio Colombo.
An exploration between body, mask and figure theatre to develop the expressive potential of movement and discover the principles behind all forms of theatre. A journey of listening and transformation in which the actor abandons habitual physical patterns to become malleable material, rediscovering the body as a theatrical instrument and refining their sensitivity to performance.
We will work with a universal language where every action takes on meaning, movement becomes a word, and space is transformed into a place to be inhabited with awareness.
We will explore the connections between movement, mask and puppet, transferring principles from the body to the object to bring life to what seems soulless. A workshop for professionals and artists in training, with the participation of five young talents from leading Ukrainian theatre academies.
Participants can bring an object or, if they have one, a puppet to work with.
We work in comfortable, black and neutral clothes, barefoot.
