The Intimacy of Otherness Act 3: How to Live a Life

The Intimacy of Otherness Act 3: How to Live a Life

Lecture-performance by Jatun Risba 20 June and repeat 21 June 2025 – 18.00-21.00 Air raid shelter in Piazza I Maggio, Udine

The air raid shelter in Piazza Primo Maggio in Udine hosts the third and final act of the lecture-performance The Intimacy of Otherness (2023–), inspired by the artist's journey towards holistic self-healing from multiple sclerosis, transgenerational memory and personal integrity.

Unlike the two previous acts, which featured pre-recorded soundscapes, videos and computer-generated or AI-generated voices, this final chapter embraces the power and vulnerability of the living word, offering a profoundly transformative encounter that draws nourishment from geophilosophical reflections on the subsoil of the cross-border territory. How to live a life… is a contemporary and intercultural rite of passage for a spiritual rebirth towards transpersonal growth.

During the performance, Jatun Risba will dialogue with The Spiral of Life, a wooden scenographic element made by the company New Life Contract of San Giovanni al Natisone.
