The Hero’s Journey – interactive hike

On this experiential path, we will travel through the 12 stages of the Hero’s Journey, as outlined by J. Campbell, across myths and storytelling into the caverns of heroes from other times and with the ascent to the mountain we'll create our own heroic journey. This path is for those who dare to look within, guided by timeless myths, and ascend a steep trail towards their own transformation. Each of us is the hero of our own journey. Campbell’s Hero’s Journey shows us that the path is not linear, but cyclical: trials, transformation, and return – an archetypal reflection of the human experience. This is not just a physical journey – it is an experience filled with interactive tasks, group bonding, and space for personal insight. It connects mythology, theatrical storytelling, and nature.

It connects mythology, theatrical storytelling, and nature. * The final stage of the Hero's Journey is an experiential workshop dedicated to exploring our life roles, taking place on Sunday, August 30th, at 10:00 AM at X-center, Nova Gorica. In a safe environment, we will use action-based methods to look into the relationships that shape us. The workshop's flow will be tailored to the group that gathers, and you always choose your own level of participation. Feel free to join us just for this workshop — after all, you choose what your hero's journey looks like. 

WHEN: Saturday, August 29th, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM 

WHERE: Monte Santo / Sveta Gora (the trench path), The path through the WWI caverns to Sveta Gora - starting at the macadam parking lot at the beginning of the trail through the tunnels 

REGISTRATION: Mandatory registration at info@tnk.si The journey will take place with a minimum of 3 registered groups (7 people per group). This experiential path takes place within the Creative City Gotropolis, in collaboration with SNG Nova Gorica and with the support of the Municipality of Nova Gorica.
