The border between skin and heart: the emotions of science in the fight against cancer

The border between skin and heart: the emotions of science in the fight against cancer

Theatre play presented by ICGEB for GO!2025

Although it is constantly traversed by blood flow, the heart rarely develops tumors.

How can this be used to invent a new cancer therapy?

Researchers collaborating on the development of a new anti-cancer therapy using wearable robots capable of mimicking the heartbeat retrace, on stage, the experiences they had during this adventure.

They bring to life the key moments of their project, blending passion and scientific expertise with the writer’s ability to describe and move through words, gestures, and music.

With the partners: Department of Medical, Surgical and Health Sciences (DSM), University of Trieste, University of Siena, Vicino/Lontano Festival, and ISISS D’Annunzio, Max Fabiani Gorizia, ICGEB presents five performances of the play, funded by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia for GO!2025.
