Summer in Vipavski Križ: Izidor Erazem Grafenauer and Historic Plucked String Instruments
Solo concert by Italian, French, German and Spanish musicians for the theorbo, baroque lute and baroque guitar.
On Thursday, 7 August 2025, at 20:15, Vipavski Križ will host a concert by Izidor Erazem Grafenauer with historical plucked string instruments.
Izidor Erazem Grafenauer is one of the most prominent guitarists in the Slovenian and international scene. After studying at the music academies in Ljubljana, Zagreb and Venice, he has established himself as a classical guitarist, lutenist and flamenco guitarist with an enviable career—regularly performing on the biggest stages across Russia, Europe, North and South America. As a composer in the field of early music, Grafenauer has performed a number of solo projects, among the first is the release of Preludio on Divya records. His research explores music from the Renaissance, Baroque and the transition to the Classical period, as well as the lutes and guitars played in Europea at that time.
