Cinematic Dreams Under the Starry Sky are produced by Kinoatelje, under the patronage of the Municipality of Nova Gorica and Javni zavod GO! 2025. 25. 7. 2026 Ko pridem ven (When I Get Out), Metod Pevec, 2025, 107' (opening film) Metod Pevec enters the walls of Dob Prison and finds a space where cinema meets psychodrama. Through play, memory, and verbal expression, the inmates return to their childhood and project themselves forward, toward an uncertain future.

The film is not just about prison, but about humanity, about guilt, the legacy of violence, and the rare moments when the possibility of change arises.

July 26, 2026, Sence tišine (Shadows of Silence), Jure Kreft in Darko Sintič, 2026, 75' The border area between Slovenia, Italy, and Austria conceals numerous untold stories, the consequences of which reverberate to today's generations. Through archival footage, new encounters, and music, the film reveals how the two created something third from different worlds—a band, a city, the meaning of an era.

A film that isn't just about music, but about the magic of everyday life becoming art. 28.7.2026 DJ Ahmet, Georgi M. Unkovski, 2025, 99' A fifteen-year-old shepherd from a remote Macedonian village stumbles upon electronic music and, with it, a whole new world. In this warm and witty coming-of-age story, techno intertwines with tradition, and the desire for freedom clashes with the pressure of a conservative community.

The gaze through Ahmet's eyes softens the world, transforming it into imagination, showing how music can become escape, rebellion, and the promise of a different life. Audience Award in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. 29.7.2026 Ungrateful Creatures, Olmo Omerzu, 2025, 110' David takes his children on vacation to the Adriatic Sea in an attempt to save a bilingual family on the brink of collapse. His seventeen-year-old daughter Klara, who suffers from an eating disorder, falls in love with Denis, a local boy. When Denis is accused of murder, David immediately takes his children home. Klara's condition steadily deteriorates, so much so that she requires hospitalization. The only thing that still unites the father and mother is the desire to save her. In desperation, they resort to extreme measures. With a delicate irony, the film speaks of friendship, alcohol, and the passage of time. A love letter to a land that the camera observes with affection and a subtle melancholy.
