Revive Time: Kaki Tree Project

Revive Time: Kaki Tree Project

Life always finds its way.

The international art project was conceived by Japanese artist Tatsuo Miyajima and tree doctor Dr Masayuki Ebinuma. As part of a cultural programme that is being developed throughout 2025, a descendant of the Nagasaki kaki tree, which survived the atomic bombing, will be planted on 10 August 2025 in the EPIC district in collaboration with various artists, as a symbol of peace and proof that life always finds its way.

The GO! 2025 borderless area will thus join the more than 270 sites in 24 countries that are already part of this project.
