ODEC is an international project that uses dance and performing arts to explore the cross-border conurbation of Nova Gorica and Gorizia.

The project involves the staging of nine performances in as many locations of great historical value, created by some of the most significant contemporary choreographers.

The performances form a journey through stages that winds between the two urban centers, providing a dynamic and fluid experience of the area for residents and visitors.

The project contributes to the GO! 2025 strategy by promoting the idea of a single, open city without borders.

HOW IT WORKS: The walk is partly on foot and partly by shuttle bus and lasts approximately 2.5 hours. In the morning, the walk runs from Nova Gorica to Gorizia (meeting at 10:15 am at the Slovenian National Theatre in Nova Gorica). In the afternoon, the walk runs from Gorizia to Nova Gorica (meeting at 2:15 pm at Borgo Live Academy). Each walk includes 9 performances. At the end of the walk, participants are taken back to the starting point. WHEN IT TAKES PLACE: Thursday, October 9th, Friday, October 10th, Saturday, October 11th, Sunday, October 12th, Saturday, October 18th, and Sunday, October 19th, 10:30 am and 2:30 pm.
