Premiere of the ODEC documentary film A cross-border experience

ODEC One Dance European City is an international project that uses dance and performing arts as a tool for crossing and reinterpreting the cross-border conurbation of Nova Gorica and Gorizia.

In October 2025, nine site-specific performances, created by some of the most significant choreographers on the contemporary scene, animated places of high historical value, transforming them into spaces for encounter, movement, and connection.

The performances shaped a journey through the two urban centers, inviting the public to experience the area as a body in motion, in a fluid, dynamic, and surprising experience.

As part of the GO! 2025 strategy, ODEC helped imagine and make visible the idea of a single open city, where borders dissolve and make room for connection.

Video artists Michele Pupo and Ruben Vuaran have collected and conveyed this experience in the documentary film ODEC A cross-border experience, which intertwines original images and the voices of the protagonists, offering an intimate and engaging look at the project.

The ODEC project is financed by the European Union through the GO! 2025 Small Project Fund of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021–2027 Programme, managed by the EGTC GO.
