A unique Slovenian ensemble performing European music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque periods through to the Romantic era on historical instruments.

Nova Schola Labacensis | Summer in Vipavski Križ 2026 Thursday, August 27, at 8:15 PM, in the castle cellar Nova Schola Labacensis is a unique Slovenian ensemble, as it respectfully preserves and at the same time expands the tradition of Schola Labacensis, the first contemporary Slovenian early music group. It performs European music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque to Romanticism, as well as non-European, especially oriental music and Greek rebetiko.

The band consists of: Tadeja Pance, soprano, Urška Kastelic, soprano, Blažka Mraz, recorder, Una Košir, recorder, Marko Angelski, guitar, Vasja Štukelj, tambourine, Turkish peacocks, frame drum, Boris Šinigoj, artistic direction, theorbo lute and baroque guitar. €10 | preschool and primary school children and residents of Vipavski Križ free of charge Festival ticket: €30* With it, you will be guaranteed entry to all concerts of Summer in Vipavski Križ.
