Non-permanent residence - The Art of Survival

The Art of Survival is a multi-sensory installation inviting visitors to step into the shoes of the invisible — those seeking safety, dignity, and hope. Through sound, space, scent, and movement, it offers a powerful experience of empathy and presence. A journey that reminds us: it could one day be ours.

The Art of Survival is a multisensory installation, inviting visitors between 1 and 31 July 2025, to step into the shoes of the invisible—people on a journey in search of safety, dignity, and hope. Through sound, space, textures, scents, and movement, it opens a space for experience, compassion, and reflection.

This is a sensorial experience for empathetic and curious individuals—for those who dare to face the reality of those traveling without passports, without homes, without the comfort of loved ones. It is a journey once taken by our ancestors, a journey walked today by our friends, colleagues, and acquaintances – and perhaps tomorrow, it could become our path or that of our children.

The installation immerses visitors in fragments of stories of people fleeing war, natural disasters, poverty, or systemic hardship. In their journey, we recognize a universal quest: for safety, human dignity, and the opportunity for a better life.

Can we look into this reality without judgment—with knowledge, empathy, and understanding?
