The cross-border thematic event, organized by the Municipality of Nova Gorica in collaboration with Slovenian and Italian partners and associated partners of the INTERREG Italy–Slovenia MEDS GARDEN+ project.

The cross-border thematic event, organized by the Municipality of Nova Gorica in collaboration with Slovenian and Italian partners and associated partners of the INTERREG Italy-Slovenia MEDS GARDEN+ project, will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025, in Rafut Park, Nova Gorica. PROGRAM:

  • 10:30 – MEETING POINT: Pavilions of project and associated partners at Pristava in Rafut Park

  • 11:00 – 18:00– CROSS-BORDER EXHIBITION PROMOTION OF PARTNERS' GARDENS of the MEDS GARDEN+ project at the stands in Rafut Park: information, educational experiences, charcoal drawing workshop

  • 11:00 – 15:00 – EXPERIENCES & CULTURE, GASTRONOMY, NATURE: Guided tour: Europe Square, Railway Station, Bourbon Rose Collection in the garden of the Franciscan Monastery Kostanjevica, Rafut Park and Villa

  • 15:00 – 16:00 – CROSS-BORDER STAKEHOLDER MEETING of the MEDS GARDEN+ project: Project presentation – Greetings from public organization representatives – Exchange of experiences

  • 16:00 – 18:00 – Gastronomic workshop with tasting "Sustainable and environmentally friendly in the 'From Pitchfork to Fork' chain"

The event is part of the MEDS GARDEN+ project, which promotes educational gardens as key sustainable spaces for the development of green skills, abilities, and professional competencies by valorizing natural, cultural, ethnological, and gastronomic heritage.
