The publication commemorates the Alpine guides of Val Cellina and Val Vajont who, from the second half of the 19th century until the outbreak of the Great War, accompanied Italian, German and Austrian mountaineers to the peaks of what at that time were called the Clautane Prealps, Die Clautanischen Voralpen in German, later called the Dolomiti d’Oltre Piave and today become the Friulian Dolomites - UNESCO World Heritage Site. The event is part of the project "Mountains without borders - Julius Kugy and the music of the landscape" project for Gorizia GO 2025 & Friends.
