Live performance ‘Tobees’ – soundscapes for biodiversity, By reservation only. Saturday, 26 July at 6:30 p.m. in Altana (San Leonardo) at the Fattoria La Casa del Tempo A violinist and passionate beekeeper who regularly plays in front of her beehives. A sound designer who transforms the sounds of bees through microphones and synthesizers. In dialogue with nature and the landscape, they compose together ‘music from bees and for bees’. Through wireless headphones, spectators listen to the sounds near the beehives and enjoy an immersive experience exploring an unprecedented soundscape. Tobees aims to raise public awareness of the role of bees in maintaining biodiversity and the richness of life on Earth The focus of Tobees’ research is the bioelectronic music concert in the apiary. The soundscape takes place outdoors and involves the participation of 40 spectators. The artists: Azzurra Fragale, sound engineer, sound designer and director. Marna Fumarola, musician, violin graduate. The cross-border project Male čebele for GO!2025 is led by the Municipality of Stregna and partners include the Municipality of San Floriano del Collio, the Comprehensive Institute with Slovenian as the language of instruction in Gorizia, the Osnovna šola Frana Erjavca Nova Gorica, the Soc. Coop. Altreforme, and the association of beekeepers of Kanal – Brda.
