LIFE IS ON STAGE "PIRANDESTAIN"

An exciting journey through the potential of theater as a tool for inclusion, collective growth, and audience participation in theater. The event will be held with the artistic sponsorship of the Italian Free Theater Union (UILT).

The Piccolo Teatro di Monfalcone presents LA VITA È SUL PALCO ‘PIRANDESTAIN’ (Life is on Stage ‘PIRANDESTAIN’), a theatrical event focused on integrated theatre featuring not only its own actors but also people with disabilities and the essential participation of the audience, to be held in the city of Gorizia.

The project is based on the successful experience held on 11 December 2024 at the Teatro Comunale Marlena Bonezzi in Monfalcone, where the company, together with the young people of the ‘Oltre Quella Sedia’ association, presented the show. 

The performance, entitled “PIRANDESTAIN”, constructed like a family album with dynamic and static moments, explored the encounter between Luigi Pirandello and Albert Einstein, intertwining Einstein's concepts of “space and time” with Pirandello's reflection on the “self” in a unique and original script.

The rich set design is the work of artist Enzo Mari. LA VITA E' SUL PALCO aims to demonstrate a fundamental concept: everyone can contribute and fulfil themselves artistically, for the benefit of the entire community. The event fits perfectly with the spirit of GO!2025, promoting cross-border cultural interaction and breaking down barriers between artists and audiences, between people with and without disabilities. 

The event will be held with the artistic sponsorship of the Italian Free Theatre Union (UILT) as part of the Experimental and Research Theatre and Therapeutic Theatre projects, directed by psychiatrist Ermanno Gioacchini, vice-president of the organisation, which has 16,000 members and almost 900 companies.
