Happening with artist Ana Vujović and master lacemakers

Happening with artist Ana Vujović and master lacemakers

Led by resident artist Ana Vujović, the workshop aims to create an open space and dialogue to explore new cross-border relationships and unexpected interpretations of traditional lacemaking.

This would restore the border to its true value as a place of meeting and intercultural contact, intended for joint action and creation.

Lacemakers meet in a gestural dance that invites them to dismantle long-established canons and modes of expression and to establish a common foundation of dialogue and trust, in which the voices of borderline female creativity are strengthened into new textures.

The participants, seated in a circle, interrupt the rigid linearity of borderline narratives by coming together in an unprecedented rhythmic and choral composition, led by the artist and their manual dexterity.

The event is free and open to everyone. You can attend it as you wish, in full or only in part.

In case of rain, it will take place at Spazio Cluster Multimedialità, Ul. Gabriele D'Annunzio 3, Gorizia. The project was carried out in collaboration with UNG - University of Nova Gorica, Municipality of Mariano del Friuli, Tekstina, ERPAC FVG

The project is financed by the European Union under the GO!2025 Small Project Fund of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 programme, managed by the EGTC GO. www.ita-slo.euwww.euro-go.eu/spf
