Inaugural Day of the Green Ambassadors

Green Bridge of Friendship - Green Ambassadors Opening Day The Green Bridge of Friendship is the first international cross-border cooperation event between the Alojza Gradnika Dobrovo Primary School and the Alojza Gradnika Števerjan Primary School as part of the GREEN2GETHER project. The opening ceremony will feature a short cultural program in the pleasant setting of the school garden and outdoor classroom.

During the event, we will present the Green Ambassadors project, where experienced ambassadors will present certificates to the next generation.

Together, we will also plant the Brda Friendship Tree, a native Brda cherry tree from both sides of the border, as a symbol of connection and cooperation. After a short refreshment, thematic workshops will follow: a seed library with Dr. Anamarija Slabe, the preparation of an identification key for the school garden's plant inventory, and the Ecological Pyramid workshop, led by the student green ambassadors.

In the afternoon, the program will continue with a visit to the Vonj poletja organic farm in Vedrijan, where students will learn about the process of making hydrolates from organic ingredients.

The GREEN2GETHER project is financed by the European Union through the GO! 2025 Small Project Fund of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 Programme, managed by the EGTC GO.
