GO! Rail

GO! Rail

A cultural and railway event celebrating the railway as a bridge between Italy and Slovenia, featuring a historic train, a roundtable discussion on sustainable mobility and culture, and the presentation of strategic projects and artistic works. The event concludes with networking and a concert featuring local and Balkan artists.

On September 19, 2025, Gorizia, at the ARS headquarters (Stazione Confinaria di Sant'Andrea SNC - railway terminal), will host GO! Rail, a cultural, rail, and cross-border event organized by Adriafer & Adriafer Rail Services together with Fondazione FS Italiane, as part of GO! 2025 – Nova Gorica and Gorizia European Capital of Culture.

The initiative celebrates the railway as a cultural bridge between Italy and Slovenia, highlighting its role in sustainable mobility, tourism, and European cooperation.

The program includes:

- the arrival of a special historic train from Trieste Centrale,

- the institutional opening with greetings from the Mayors of Gorizia, Nova Gorica and Šempeter pri Gorici,

- the presentation of strategic projects such as the new Lunetta railway (direct connection between Italy and Slovenia) and the Campo Marzio Railway Museum in Trieste,

- a round table on intermodality and the culture of sustainable mobility with Italian and Slovenian institutional and railway representatives,

- the presentation of the work of the artist Emilio Isgrò on the Adriafer electric locomotive,

- a networking cocktail and closing with a concert featuring local and Balkan artists, creating a multicultural and participatory atmosphere.

GO!Rail is a unique opportunity to strengthen cross-border cooperation, promote innovation, art, and sustainable mobility, with the participation of railway and logistics companies, institutional stakeholders, local authorities, and national and European media.
