Oil paintings on panel, bronze commemorative medals, papier - maché sketches, alabaster sculptures and pencil drawings will be exhibited. All works are united by a single commondenomination: love for Gorizia and Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Giorgio Geromet's exhibition was conceived and organized by his family and closest friends to celebrate his long artistic career, in the year in which Gorizia, along with Nova Gorica, is the European Capital of Culture 2025.

A tireless art enthusiast, he spent a long part of his life sharing his studies, research, and love for his land through writing, painting, sculpture, and metal engraving.

The exhibition presents Geromet's works spanning a period from the late 1960s to his most recent works from the first decade of the 2000s. Highlights include the medals "The First Tricolor Flag on Gorizia," "Leonardo da Vinci," "Borgo Castello," "The Canonization of Saint Angela Merici," and "Saint Adalbert." The oil paintings on panel "Roman Aquileia of the 4th Century AD," "Borgo Castello in the 19th Century with Coats of Arms of the Noble Houses Registered with the Provincial States," "Piazza Sant'Antonio," "Piazza Grande" and "Via Carducci with the Tram"; silver stamps, alabaster sculptures, and pencil drawings depicting the castles of Friuli Venezia Giulia and neighboring Slovenia will be exhibited.

An invitation to immerse yourself in the history of our region, characterized by the meeting of different cultures, this exhibition represents a precious opportunity to discover—or rediscover—the artistic and intellectual world of Giorgio Geromet.
