Giorgio de Chirico. the mechanics of thought

The Monfalcone Contemporary Art Gallery has promoted several high-level artistic initiatives. Among the greatest expressions of the short century we can mention Kandinsky, Fontana, Crali, Vito Timmel, Vittorio Bolaffio, Afro Basaldella.

The exhibition dedicated to the master Giorgio de Chirico is part of an institutional project organized by the Municipality of Monfalcone in collaboration with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.

The exhibition program features major names with ties to the region, historic artists known nationally and internationally who have brought and continue to bring prestige to our region.

We have therefore decided, for the end of 2025, to organize an exhibition of international scope and, considering an artist of such importance, who had never before been exhibited in our city, the name of Giorgio de Chirico found unanimous approval.

The exhibition dedicated to Giorgio de Chirico will be divided into 6 artistic itineraries which outline the main periods distinguished in the different sections of the exhibition indicated.

The exhibition will be accompanied by its own dedicated catalogue.
