From Waste to Beauty: Borderless Design Exhibition

Benedetti Life is an international exhibition showcasing the work of up-and-coming fashion designers from Slovenia, Italy and around the world who are turning waste into high fashion.

From 1 to 20 September 2025, the streets of Nova Gorica and Gorizia will host an exhibition of works by young fashion designers, united under the title From Waste to Beauty: Borderless Design Exhibition.

The exhibition highlights innovative ways to reduce waste by transforming discarded materials into unique, couture-worthy pieces. The exhibition will be installed in shop windows along the streets from Nova Gorica to Gorizia, creating a dynamic cross-border visual journey. Under the umbrella of Benedetti Life, this exhibition celebrates the future of sustainable fashion and the creativity of the next generation of designers.

This exhibition highlights the importance of reducing waste and shows how discarded garments and materials can be given a new life as unique pieces of haute couture. In a world where waste is a major environmental challenge, young designers are focusing on innovative ways to recycle and reuse materials. In doing so, they not only reduce waste, but also create artistic pieces that express beauty and sustainability. Visitors will have the opportunity to see how waste items such as men's suits, shirts, ties, bed linen and curtains are transformed into cutting-edge high-fashion pieces that combine creativity, art and environmental responsibility. Each piece tells a story—a story of how everyday objects that would end up as waste can become exceptional fashion art.
