Frammenti Di Un Inconscio Condiviso 4a Edizione Conclusiva

After editions in 2022, 2023 and 2024, the project is now in its fourth and final edition. 

The main organising partners are the Cultural Association for the Promotion of Contemporary Arts ‘Prologo’ from Gorizia (Italy), the KUD Goriška paleta from Nova Gorica (Slovenia), the Fotoklub Skupina75 from Bucuie-San Floriano (GO_IT) and the Cultural Association ArteM (Terni_IT).

Born from the impulse offered by some events in Gorizia concerning the themes of madness (fesval eStoria_Follia - 2021), alienation (fesval AlienAzioni) and the historical reality of the Basaglia Park, the project was conceived and developed between Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Umbria and Lazio, in 2024 it was extended to the city of Nova Gorica in Slovenia, with the intention of taking it to 2025, in conjunction with the great appointment of ‘Nova Gorica-Gorizia European Capital of Culture 2025 .

The key words, as a guide to the general artistic discourse are: Unconscious, Psychoanalysis, Madness, Hallucinations, Dream, Ghosts, Fears, Anxieties, Perception, Spirit and Spirituality.

In the specifics of the project for 2025, the keywords are: space, time, field, place, context, gestalt-set, symbolism and punctuation, faith, infinity, identity, psychic horizon, boundary, limit, threshold, frontier, barrier, frame, tension, light-shadow, emptiness-full, unspeakable, invisible, unthinkable, improbable.

Taking these keywords into account, it is more than evident that expressive research can range over multiple fields, can find various directions, while still maintaining a close link with what pertains to the UNDERSTANDING. It is possible to refer to one's own life experience, or community experience, or to microscopic or macroscopic aspects, even regarding Nova Gorica / Gorizia 2025, both on a psychic and artistic level and more broadly on a cultural level.

It seems obvious that EXPLAINING, RECONCENTING, REFLECTING the Unconscious in the strict sense may seem impossible, nevertheless the attempt must be made in the possible representation of what everyone perceives in emotional and non-rational terms. The exhibitions will be explored through works that are partly Abstract and Informal, partly Verist and Figure-ve, balancing the different styles and mediums that the individual artists will express.
