On Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 4:30 p.m., Piazza Transalpina, the symbolic heart of the border between Gorizia and Nova Gorica, will become the stage for the first public meeting: Dance. After months of artistic work, workshops, craft production, and performance rehearsals involving a diverse group of about 40 women from Gorizia and Nova Gorica, the dancers and musicians of the Santa Gorizia folk group, in collaboration with choreographer Gaia Stacchini, will give life to a choral performance in which voices, instruments, and dance steps are transformed into movements expressing sisterhood and freedom. Alongside the performers, the protagonists will be the precious silk scarves on which a series of words, embroidered in lace by the masters of the Gorizia Lace School (ERPAC), define a decalogue of fundamental values for our relationships.
This meeting represents the first chapter in the public presentation of Fili continui, which will then continue with an exhibition at the Galerija Gong in Nova Gorica, the publication of a book by Robida, and presentations of the project in various cities. Fili Continui. Trame e intrecci di cura al confine (Continuous Threads: Weaves and Intertwining of Care at the Border) is a project by Giulia Iacolutti, curated by Rachele D'Osualdo. Produced by the ETRARTE Cultural Association, in partnership with S.O.S. Rosa ODV, ERPAC / Scuola Merletti di Gorizia, Galerija GONG, Robida, Gruppo Folcloristico Santa Gorizia, Arearea, and IOTUNOIVOI Donneinsieme.
With the support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, iosonofriuliveneziagiulia, GO!2025, and the Equal Opportunities Commission of the Municipality of Udine. *In case of rain, the performance will be held in the covered area outside the EPICenter (next to Nova Gorica railway station).
