Episkop - The Balkan Migrant Route

The Balkan Migrant Route Evening panel discussion and video exhibition

The guests will discuss the challenges faced by people who do not speak Slovenian when accessing the Slovenian healthcare system.

Martina Bofulin will lead a conversation with Mirna Buić, representative of the NGO PINA; Juš Škraban, researcher at the Faculty of Social Work, University of Ljubljana; and Mira Grabanica, intercultural mediator. Together, they will explore the perspectives of both healthcare providers and patients, and intercultural mediation as a possible solution.

  • Mira Grabanica – intercultural mediator

The round table is organised by:

  • Uršula Lipovec Čebron, anthropologist (Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana)

  • Martina Bofulin, sinologist (ZRC SAZU), who will also moderate the discussion

The discussion will be held in Slovenian and Italian, with simultaneous interpretation.
