e for Europe

The Lendkanal once connected the Wörthersee right into the city centre, right up to the market square, and it is said that even some Venetian gondoliers once came here to transport goods on its waters.
Now all that remains is an old, disused barge and a vague feeling of nostalgia, whether for the Venetians, the Slovenians before the plebiscite, or the Jews before the Holocaust.
7.30 pm – Meeting point: Lendhafen Pavilion Walk through the multilingual and conflict-ridden history of Klagenfurt/Celovec, following the life stories of people who lived here, such as Jews, Carinthian Slovenes and others.
8.45pm – Refreshments at Lendhafen
9.15pm – Dance-theatre show On the paths to Europe at Lendhafen
