CROSS-BORDER METABOLIC-CULTURAL WALK

CROSS-BORDER METABOLIC-CULTURAL WALK

MUNICIPAL PHARMACIES OF GORIZIA ... FOR HEALTH AND CULTURE ... The walk will take place on a cross-border route between Italy/Slovenia and Gorizia/Nova Gorica and includes two alternating but complementary sessions along the entire route: a health session through the so-called "metabolic walk" and a cultural session.

Specifically, the metabolic walk will be conducted with the support of a trainer who, through headphones (provided), will be able to communicate with all participants at the same time, ensuring everyone is connected at the same time. This ensures that the requested movement or exercise is performed synchronously, from the first to the last in line, ensuring that no one feels uneasy and can therefore complete the walk without difficulty. During the walk, a cultural session will be held in an alternating and well-defined manner, where a referenced guide will illustrate and describe the points of interest encountered along the route.

The designated route is approximately 4.5 km long, meeting and starting from Via Rastello (Michelstaedter statue). The route will cover approximately 1.5 km, reaching the Rafut Pass, passing through Piazza Vittoria and crossing the Jewish Ghetto. From the Rafut Pass, the route will lead to Piazza Transalpina, following the approximately 1 km long, now invisible, border line that separates Gorizia from Nova Gorica. Finally, from Piazza Transalpina, the route will cover approximately 2 km, arriving at Villa De Nordis (the historic villa of Countess Lyduska). A visit to the villa is planned, followed by a short final meditation and refreshments, which will allow us to return together to Piazza Transalpina, thus concluding our metabolic-cultural walk.
