Christmas Walk

Let’s fill the streets and parks of the city of Gorizia with Christmas spirit and toast to Christmas together!

On Sunday, December 14, Gorizia will be filled with the colors of Christmas with the fourth Christmas Walk, a free-paced march organized by the Gorizia Walking Group and the Municipality under the auspices of FIASP, with the support of numerous city associations. A cheerful procession of Santa Clauses will set off from Piazza Vittoria, ready to follow two routes accessible to all: a short 1.5 km one and a 5 km one that also winds through the new Valletta del Corno Park.

Registration opens at 9:00 a.m., with a €2 donation that includes a Santa hat. You can set off freely between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., while the route will be patrolled until 12:00 p.m. The organizers encourage everyone to dress in Christmas attire and are happy to welcome dogs. In Piazza Vittoria, there will be Christmas refreshments and some vintage Fiat 500s, one of which features a nativity scene in the engine compartment. The five largest groups will receive food and wine prizes.

The short route crosses Via Rastello, Via Delle Monache, Via Mazzini, Piazza Municipio, Via Garibaldi, Corso Verdi, Via Seminario, and Via dell'Arcivescovado. The long route continues along Via Brass, enters Valletta del Corno near the ice rink, exits onto Viale Virgilio, and passes Via Borsi, Via Boschetto, Via Brigata Pavia, Viale XX Settembre, Via Santa Chiara, and Via Mameli.
