BORDERLESS MOTOCYCLISM – 75th anniversary of the races in Nova Gorica

The 75th anniversary of international motorcycle events in Nova Gorica will take place on 30 and 31 August 2025.

Technological and industrial heritage is invaluable and irreplaceable. Once objects and places are gone, they cannot be recreated. With this awareness, SVAMZ, in collaboration with local clubs such as AMD Gorica, Moto Club Gorizia, Moto Club Trieste, and the Italian National Association for Historical Vehicles ASI, is organizing an event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of international motorcycle events in Nova Gorica. The theme of the event is "The Legacy of Speed and Tradition that Shaped the History of the City," keeping history alive and meaningful even in modern times.

The event will take place in Nova Gorica and Gorizia, where exhibitions and parades of historical motorcycles will liven up both cities. The program includes a traditional parade following mostly the same route as the original races, with presentations of historical motorcycles and cars, including some motorcycles presented by still-active riders who participated in these races.

This will be complemented by a special exhibition of exclusive motorcycles, an open-air film screening at Gorizia Castle, a lecture on the development of motorcycling (led by a renowned Italian collector), and a photographic exhibition on the races. On the Slovenian side of the city, there will be a presentation of a monograph on the races, along with a photographic exhibition, linking the cities and events that have historically connected them.

Additionally, some motorcycles will run on ASI GREEN alternative fuel, which is still in the testing phase, aimed at reducing emissions and promoting sustainable development.

The event will also be attended by representatives from international organizations such as FIVA, FIM, ASI, and the Slovenian national association SVAMZ, as well as local authorities from both Gorizia cities.
