BORDERLESS BIZ 2026: Knowledge and Innovation Without Borders

BORDERLESS BIZ aims to go beyond simple discussion. Our goal is to create a space where concrete business challenges can meet knowledge, expertise, and concrete solutions on both sides of the border.

SDGZ-URES Slovenian Regional Economic Union is organising, together with Gospodarska zbornica Severne Primorske and Confindustria, an event dedicated to knowledge transfer in the cross-border area.

You are cordially invited to join us!

Date: Thursday, November 12, 2026

Opening hours: 2:30 PM–6:00 PM

Location: Sala Verdi – Palazzo De Bassa (Edling Passage 2 – Gorizia, Italy)

Borderless Biz 2026 How can companies more easily access knowledge, researchers, and partners who can support them in developing new solutions, technologies, and products?

Numerous successful companies, universities, research institutes, and support organizations operate in the cross-border area between Slovenia and Italy.

The potential for collaboration is significant, but companies often don't know where to find the right skills, who to turn to, and how to initiate a concrete collaboration.

For this reason, BORDERLESS BIZ 2026 – Knowledge and Innovation Without Borders will be dedicated to connecting the business world and the research and innovation ecosystem on both sides of the border.

Together with representatives of companies, universities, research institutes, and support organizations, we will seek concrete answers to the following questions: How can a company find a researcher or partner to address a specific development challenge?

What skills and knowledge are already available in the cross-border area today?

How do successful companies systematically collaborate with universities and research institutes?

What can we learn from good practices in other European cross-border areas?

And above all: what concrete offers can universities, research institutes, and support organizations offer businesses starting tomorrow?

Participation is free, but registration is required using the online form found here: https://forms.gle/m65yr9fFLE4LX9z77

The event will be held in Slovenian and Italian, with translation available. The event program is available here: https://www.sdgz.it/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Programma-Borderless-Biz-2026_ita-1.pdf
