BORDER: THE ART OF CROSSING AND PRESERVING

BORDER: THE ART OF CROSSING AND PRESERVING

FVG Artistic Crafts Exhibition

The works on display embody the dual essence of the border: that which separates and that which protects.

The craftsman analyzes his roots and his identity in an ever-evolving context.

An exhibition that explores the complex nature of borders, in a land that lives and breathes its liminal condition. The border, here, is not a dividing line, but a space for preservation and introspection.

All tools, from the first worked flints, have been made by man, are the result of experiments and tests to improve our performance, and today they are the valuable objects of a trade.

The tool is not autonomous; the hand, holding and mastering it, establishes an agreement of coordinated gestures, almost a relationship of fraternal friendship and esteem, typical of those who share the experience of work on a daily basis.

The craftsmanship of 30 artisan workshops from Friuli-Venezia Giulia is on display in Faenza during Made in Italy, an Italian ceramics fair held in 2025, a particularly significant year for the city, which is a candidate for membership in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

The Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia will be the guest, given the coincidence of GO25!, Nova Gorica and Gorizia European Capitals of Culture, and Pordenone 2027 Italian Capital of Culture.

The following artisan workshops are on display: Ago & Filo Chic, Angelica Orlando, Antracite Gioielli, Arte Bellaminutti, Arteviva Tessitura a Mano, Atelier di Dagmar Friedrich, Bisaro Gianpietro Mosaici, Blifase, Bottoni e non solo Ceramica, Cautero Creazioni in Ceramica, Cartastraccia Lab, Chameleon Design, Di Maio Simona, Elena Sartoria, Fabbro Carpenteria Berin, Fabtailors, Francesca Verardo, Giulia Zanette, Laboceramica, Legatoria Moderna di Eva Seminara, L'oca Bianca ed altre storie®, Moysa di Michela Mazzero, Naka di Tuniz Nicola, Noemi Roma Mosaici, Officinelamour® di Lara Pontoni, Sergio Mazzola Generazioni Orafe, Serimania - Romeo Design, Silvia Di Piazza, Skele's Head and Creative Studio di Fabio Comelli.
