Barocco Oltrefrontiera Gorizia Tartini E Il Barocco Europeo

In the 18th and 19th centuries, Gorizia was a veritable musical crossroads between Italy and Central Europe: its academies welcomed figures such as Franz Krommer, Johann Joseph Rösler and Adalbert Gyrowetz, who were active protagonists of cultural life. The concert evokes that cosmopolitan spirit, intertwining rarities by Amandus Ivanschiz and pieces by Ignazio Gobbi from Gorizia, a pupil of Giuseppe Tartini.
On 26 October at 8.30 pm, at Vila Vipolže (Brda, Slovenia), the concert offers a journey through the musical heritage of the 18th and 19th centuries between Italian and Central European cultures, in a border area where local tradition and cosmopolitanism meet. The programme includes composers such as Amandus Ivančič, Giuseppe Tartini and Ignazio Gobbi, a pupil of Tartini, who testify to how the music of Gorizia and Istria was open to the most innovative trends of the time, while remaining rooted in the folklore and traditions of the area.
The Cenacolo Musicale ensemble, conducted by Donatella Busetto, with violin soloist Tommaso Luison, a Tartini specialist, restores the vitality and expressive richness of a repertoire that has always looked beyond local borders towards Central Europe. The concert is part of the celebrations for Nova Gorica - Gorizia European Capital of Culture, offering a unique opportunity to rediscover the musical connections between Italy, Slovenia and Central Europe.
