Art Routes - Creative Workshops & Local Connections / Bottle Painting Workshop

Traveling art workshop that connects the local area through creative activities. Participants, guided by professional artists, will decorate a wine bottle from the host. The experience combines painting techniques, exploration of the local area, and tastings of typical local products, in an inclusive setting designed for adults, families, and children.

Rotte d’Arte is an artistic and cultural project based on the idea of connection between people, places, and cultures in the cross-border area between Italy and Slovenia. Through travelling creative workshops, the project offers a new way to experience the territory, highlighting authentic places such as osmize, farms, natural areas, museums, and local realities. Each workshop is developed together with the host place, creating opportunities to meet people through simple and accessible art activities. In this case, the workshop is about decorating a wine bottle and turning it into a creative and personal object. Participants try painting techniques on a three-dimensional surface, guided by professional artists, while also discovering the area through stories and tastings of local products. The activities are led by two visual artists Melania Kalz and Irina Goruppi, who are active in the local area. They support participants throughout the creative process, creating an open, friendly, and welcoming space for expression. Both are part of the Slovenian community in Italy and speak both languages, helping people connect, share, and meet across cultures in an inclusive way. With care and attention, they encourage everyone to express themselves freely and enjoy creativity as a way to connect with others.
