The music group Alenfado was formed in 2015, with the intention of spreading the knowledge of the Fado: the typical Portuguese folk song that tells of feelings, heartbreak, nostalgia, fatalism and everyday life. The group, comprised of musicians from Palermo with a passion for ethnic music (Francesca Ciaccio: voice, Toni Randazzo: Portuguese guitar, Roberto Buscetta: classic guitar, Fabio Barocchiere: acoustic bass, Mariangela Lampasona: violin, Angela Mirabile: cajón and glockenspiel, Marco Pavone: handheld percussion), has named itself “Beyond the Fado” with the resolution of interpreting and rearranging ancient and modern folk songs, not just from Portugal, and to put forward newly composed pieces.Accessibility
