Lecture entitled “FRANCO GULLI – virtuoso violinist and distinguished teacher, marking the 100th anniversary of his birth” Prof. Margherita Canale Maestro Romolo Gessi with the participation of violinist Paolo Tagliamento, First Prize winner at the 2015 Lipizer Competition Free admission

To mark the centenary of the birth of violinist Franco Gulli, Professor Margherita Canale and Maestro Romolo Gessi will pay tribute to his legacy as an exceptional musician and teacher at a lecture to be held on Monday, 7 September 2026, at 6.00 pm in the Sala Dora Bassi in Gorizia; admission is free.

The event will also feature a performance by violinist Paolo Tagliamento – winner of the 2015 Lipizer Competition and the current custodian of Gulli’s violin – who will showcase his virtuosity and speak about the master’s instrument. The lecture is organised in collaboration with the Circolo della Cultura e delle Arti di Trieste.
