9th International LGMDD2 Congress

The 9th International Congress on Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 1F/D2 will take place on October 22 at the Astronomical Observatory of Farra d’Isonzo.

The event will feature a full day of high-level scientific presentations, held under the patronage of the Telethon Foundation, with contributions from international researchers. The opening session will explore the molecular mechanisms of LGMDD2, with presentations by Roberta Costa, Corrado Angelini, and Ariadna Bargiela. Further talks by Javier Poyatos and Juan Jesús Vílchez will focus on therapeutic strategies and pathological analyses. Subsequently, Francisco Díaz-Fuertes and Luis Miguel Bedoya will present studies on the interaction between HIV-1 and TNPO3 mutations, with an emphasis on new pharmacological therapies.

The morning will conclude with a networking session dedicated to LGMD1F/D2 projects in collaboration with the Conquistando Escalones ODV Association.
