TABR – Festival of Castellieri is not just an event – it is a time machine that takes you back thousands of years into the world of our ancestors.

GUIDED HIKE FROM HILLFORT TO HILLFORT

A circular tour through the picturesque Karst landscape with visits to prehistoric hillforts and tasty local refreshments along the way.

Meeting point: Old School Vojščica (Vojščica 37)
Difficulty: Medium | Distance: 8 km | Duration: approx. 3 hours

Uroš Jelenovič and Maša Saccara – Presentation of the KAŠTellieri project
Tomaž Fabec – Settlement of the Karst from the end of the Ice Age to the hillforts
Federico Bernardini – Presentation of LIDER interpretation results of hillforts in the Municipality of Miren – Kostanjevica
Dr. Peter Turk – Iron Age towers on the northern edge of the Karst

MUSICAL PERFORMANCE BY THE GROUP TRŠ
Melodies of Prehistory – concert on instruments made from a 6,500-year-old spruce from Čadrg

After the concert, stargazing with telescopes in the company of amateur astronomers.

The event will be held in Slovenian and Italian. Interpretation will be provided.
