SINGERS' CORNERS. THE LEGACY OF SLOVENIAN COMPOSERS THROUGH FOLK AND CULTURED SONG

The event will take place as part of the widespread open-air choral singing festival, which takes place during the course of the Singers' Corners project.

In October 2021, they were in Gorizia and Nova Gorizia to celebrate the two cities' joint designation as European Capital of Culture 2025. Now they are expected together again to receive the 25th Ss. Ilario e Taziano – City of Gorizia Award: the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella and the former President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor will receive the award on Saturday, March 15, at 11:30 a.m. at the Teatro Verdi.

The ceremony will be preceded by a solemn celebration presided over by the Archbishop of Gorizia, Monsignor Carlo Roberto Maria Redaelli, in the Cathedral at 9:30 a.m. The handover will be accompanied by a performance by the students of the Locchi and Trinko schools, who will sing the hymns.

Since seats in the Auditorium are limited, citizens interested in attending the award ceremony can reserve by calling 0481 383491 from Tuesday, March 4th to Thursday, March 6th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and then following the instructions provided. Accreditation will be required and must be presented on the day of the awards ceremony. Access to the Auditorium will be limited to 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Each person will be allowed to reserve a maximum of two seats.
