Inauguration of new cycle of works and talk with artist-in-residence Hugo Kanyingu Kabeya

The new cycle of works created by the artist during his residency will be presented to the public during a talk at the former mercury foundry Topilnica Hg, now an important museum centre for the study and knowledge of the uniqueness of this liquid metal.

Ponte a NordEst starts in Gorizia! Stefano Bollani, Rava, Fresu, Sepe, Salis, Tavolazzi, and Gatto (along with the young artists Frida, Mancuso, and Mascetta) arrive on Thursday, February 13th for a four-day artist residency.

For the occasion, Gorizia's venues will host Jazz Encounters:

Thursday, February 13th at 7 p.m.: Chincaglieria (via Rastello, 60) with the Monika Bajer Trio

Friday, February 14, at 6:30 p.m.: Kinemax (Piazza Vittoria) screening of Michel Petrucciani. Body and Soul. and exhibition of snapshots by Pierluigi Bumbaca taken at historic editions of Incontri Jazz in Gorizia.

Saturday, February 15th at 7:00 PM: Rosenbar (Via Duca d'Aosta 96) Cross Border Duo. At 9:30 PM: Circolo Arci Gong (Via delle Monache, 10/A) Blues night with Claudio Cojaniz on piano and Oriano Ferini on harmonica in memory of Mauro Bardusco and Giuliano Almerigogna.

Sunday 16 February at 12: Kulturni Center Lojze Bratuž (viale XX Settembre, 85) "My Name is Nina. A portrait of Nina Simone". At 4 pm Zlatko Kaučič “Kombo: Pogum pogumnih” (Kombo Audacious Courageous).
