On June 12, 13, and 14, for the European Archaeological Days, Aquileia comes alive with open days at its archaeological sites and excavation sites, special openings, guided tours, experimental archaeology, and music.

Meeting point: Piazza Capitolo at 9:50 am. The term Shirinyoku (ๆฃฎๆž—ๆตด, โ€œForest bathingโ€) was coined in 1982 and promotes the awakening of the senses through slowness, sounds, textures, scents, and breathing in nature. ShinrinYoku-Dล allows you to increase your individual contribution to protecting nature and generates long-lasting psychological and physiological benefits, thus creating a virtuous cycle that can lead to a true partnership between man and nature and a general rebalancing. Recommended attire: typical for nature walks with sneakers or hiking boots, long pants, long-sleeved shirt/t-shirt, sweatshirt/fleece, jacket, raincoat or cape, optionally a mat or blanket. Pets are not allowed. Minimum age: 16 (if a minor, accompanied by an adult also registered for the activity).

Location: archaeological area of the late-antique markets (Pasqualis estate) Demonstrations of glassmaking using ancient techniques (free and mold blowing, mosaic work, etc.) using a wood-fired 'Roman' kiln and featuring master glassmakers from the Murano school.

Lecture by Emanuela Murgia on the fragment of diatreta glass discovered by the University of Trieste team during the excavation of the Domus dei Putti Danzanti in Aquileia. This piece is being exhibited at the museum for the first time during GEA 2026. After the event and throughout the weekend, it will also be possible to view the holographic display created as part of the XRculture project in collaboration with ICCD.
