The Roman burial ground
A stroll to discover the evocative necropolis of the ancient Roman city, the burial ground. This is the only section of the necropolis currently open to visitors in Aquileia, featuring five burial enclosures located along a secondary road exiting the city, and testifying to the funerary customs of the citizens of Aquileia. The beauty of the burial monuments and the soft, respectful lighting make this place extremely moving.
