Join us for the Aquileia Film Festival from July 29 to August 5, 2025. The event that brings together cinema, history, and archaeology.
From 29 July to 5 August 2025 the 16th edition of the Aquileia Film Festival will kick off: cinema, archaeology, and experts will take turns on stage for six evenings in a programme full of events.
The international archaeological film festival is organised by the Fondazione Aquileia with Archeologia Viva and Firenze Archeofilm. The event is realised in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the Municipality of Aquileia and the Basilica of Aquileia.
The public will be called upon to vote for the winner of the Aquileia Prize, a mosaic created by the Friuli Mosaic School, which will be awarded on the evening of Friday 1 August; the competing films have been chosen from among the best of international film production on archaeological and historical themes.
