An e-bike tour through the Natisone Valleys between history and nature

Saturday 5 April 2025 from 9.00 to 13.30 We suggest an excursion along lonely roads to discover hidden and evocative spots along the high Natisone Valleys.

Starting from the town of Vartacia we will cross into Slovenia, reach and visit the wonderfully restored trenches of the First World War. We'll return to Italy via the Solaire Pass and then leisurely cycle through the spring landscape. 

We'll stop for a guided tour of the Canalaz Chestnut Tree and then continue on to the Trattoria Vartacia where we'll end the day with a well-deserved lunch. 

This excursion is only available for e-bikes. 

Programme:

9.00 Meeting and departure from Trattoria Vartacia, possibility to have breakfast

13.30 Arrival at Trattoria Vartacia and lunch Menu: Spinach flan with parmesan fondue Pearl barley with pear and Montasio cheese Roast pork with herbs and roast potatoes Dark chocolate bavarois with strawberry sauce

Duration: 4 hours including stops Route: Length 38 km Elevation gain 500 m Easy route, almost entirely on paved roads without any particular difficulties.

However, a minimum of cycling ability and basic physical fitness is required.

Possibly rain gear. Water to take with you.

Cost: 32 € per person, with your own e-bike, lunch included Confirmation or postponement of the excursion (due to weather conditions) within 48 hours of the excursion's departure.
