For the inhabitants of both Goricas and the wider cross-border area, Rastello, one of the most characteristic streets in Gorizia, has always meant something #special.
Rastello was once closed by a grated door (“rastello”, from which the name derives), which separated the town from the countryside: today it is a pedestrian street leading to Piazza della Vittoria, the largest town square.
Thanks to the enthusiasm of the Via Rastello association, the shop windows light up, the antique doors get a festive look and the lights turn on the magic of this Christmas.
Welcome to the Rastello fairytale!
